Nelson - Christchurch

Leaving Nelson in the morning we make a quick stop at the Montana winery in Blenheim for some wine-tasting. It's a little early in the day but that doesn't deter most of our group!

We continue on toward Christchurch stopping off in the coastal town of Kaikoura for a spot of lunch and a range of water activities. We were intending to go on a short whale watching trip, but unfortunately the winds today are quite strong and the trip is cancelled. Instead, we spend a little time on Kaikoura's stony beach, and then take a drive out to the peninsula, where we spot a few seals lazing on the rocks.
