Auckland

Auckland is a beautiful city, and whilst there we take in a harbour cruise, and visit the Sky City Casino. We also take a tour on the Auckland Explorer, an open top double decker bus which visits all the main city attractions - we visit Mission Bay, Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World, and Auckland Museum. Finally, we decide to take the elevator to the viewing platform of the Sky Tower, where only one of us gathers up the nerve to stand on the glass floor 186 metres above the city!

Accommodation

New President Hotel - in an ideal location just opposite the Sky Tower on Victoria Street, this hotel is great value for money. Rooms are spacious and functional. Recommended.

Restaurants

Mai Thai - a moderately priced restaurant serving Royal Thai cuisine. Recommended.

Rebo - an inexpensive bar and restaurant on the ground level of the Sky Tower. The portions are big and their wood fired pizzas are very tasty.
